JUNGLE HOLLYWOOD

The ultimate jungle-themed nightclub experience where the urban jungle meets the untamed wilderness! As you step through the doors, you are instantly transported into a lush, vibrant jungle oasis nestled within the heart of the city. Jungle Hollywood is a historical landmark from the Silent film days with Charlie Chaplin and is famous for the Chaplin Keaton Lloyd Alley.

THE SOUND

Our nightclub is powered by a world-class sound and production system designed to deliver an immersive, high-impact experience from the dancefloor to the DJ booth. The main stage features a fully reinforced Turbo Sound and EAW speaker configuration, combining powerful 3-way loudspeakers with deep, chest-hitting subwoofers, including double 18” and 21” subs to produce clean, balanced sound at any energy level. DJs perform on industry-standard Pioneer DJ setups with DJM-900NXS2 mixers and CDJ-900NXS2 players, supported by dedicated monitor systems for precise control and performance confidence.

The experience is elevated through professional-grade amplification, advanced speaker management processing, and more. Moving head lighting, beam effects, and atmospheric fog create a dynamic environment that evolves with the music, while modular staging and truss allow for flexible event layouts. Supported by an experienced sound and video engineering team, our system is built to meet the demands of top-tier DJs, touring artists, and high-energy nightlife programming delivering consistent, powerful sound and unforgettable production every night.

The venue at 1640 N Cahuenga Blvd has evolved through several iterations of nightclubs and lounges, consistently remaining an entertainment mainstay in Hollywood's Cahuenga Corridor. The current ownership team has operated the venue since 2006, transitioning the space through different concepts.

  • Ecco Ultra Lounge (also known as Ecco Hollywood): The venue was originally known as Ecco Ultra Lounge (or Ecco Hollywood) when the current owners took over operations in 2006. It was notable as the world's first LEED Certified eco-green entertainment venue.

  • Couture: Ecco Ultra Lounge was later rebranded as Couture, a "hybrid mix of lounge, restaurant, fashion showroom, and nightclub". Couture was designed with a fashion-forward theme, featuring a permanent runway as the focal point to provide a platform for local fashion designers. It opened in November 2012.

  • Station1640: Following Couture, the space became Station1640, a nightclub known for its electronic music scene and theme inspired by the underground subways of New York City. The venue was also known for artist mural installations.

  • Jungle Hollywood: Most recently, Station1640 was transformed into Jungle Hollywood, a jungle-themed nightclub experience that launched with a grand opening series in May 2024. The current iteration maintains the location's focus on dance music, featuring a new sound system and lush interior decor.

OUR HISTORY

1640 N Cahuenga Blvd in Hollywood has transitioned from possibly early studio/industrial use in the 1920s-30s (near Metro Studios) to a historic entertainment spot. Cahuenga Blvd was a developing area where Hollywood's film industry began; Metro Studios occupied blocks nearby, suggesting early industrial or entertainment roots for the area around your address.
